We lost the use of our Houston Audio Society meeting room, which means I have one more pair of speakers cluttering the house, and something has to go.

This time it's the "Tallerrays", a pair of dipole line arrays standing 7' 4" tall and housing fourteen 5.25" Foster wide range midwoofers and one Eminence compression tweeter mounted to a Dayton waveguide. The Tallerays' sensitivity is in the high 90's, impedance is 7 ohms, and the midwoofers run full range with no crossover, so these are a tube-friendly load for any amp down to a 2A3 or a 45. WAF isn't high, but she probably would rather you hug these than a tall skinny supermodel.   Roll Eyes

I've sold all the inexpensive ones except of a pair of One Pi Towers which I will sell for $200. They're done in birch plywood and have a 15ga Jantzen air core inductor in the woofer circuit and a Sonicap in the tweeter crossover. I plan to bring them to the Texas DIY in Dallas next month.

If you would like demolish you house, brick by brick, using sound alone to accomplish the task, I also have a large pair of three ways using a Hammer 18" woofer, Eminence 8" midrange, and an Eminence compression tweeter loaded to a Dayton waveguide. They're 4' high, 2' wide, 16" deep. $400/pr

Done the Pi One thing twice now.

How about 'expensive' ones?  I miss my Fred Arrays something fierce.

The only "expensive" ones I've done lately are  the Statements. I'm building one pair for a friend and one for myself. They cost about $1K/pr to build. The enclosures are far more labor intensive than most other non-array speakers, so I'm not too anxious to build any more. I'm afraid the well has dried up.
